Live Event Painting

Live Event Painting- How It Works

I will arrive with my colleague half an hour before the start time of your event. A 6-8ft table and two chairs are required for working space. Signage will be placed to direct your guests to the area. My colleague will take pictures of your guests while I get busy painting. Guests will pose for their full body photo during a set time during the beginning of the event (No more than 3 guests per portrait). We will have a range of suggested poses to inspire a unique result. This photo is used to create their hand-crafted portrait. Once the photo session is “closed”, I will work solely on the personalized portraits. I can typically complete 5-6 couples (portraits) per hour. Guests can mingle and enjoy the reception while I create their masterpieces. Guests also have the option to watch the live painting, or simply return later to receive it. Once completed, they will be placed in a clear plastic envelope displayed for guests to collect and take home. They are finished on 6x8 watercolor paper. An “open/close” time is not required for smaller events. Should you desire more portraits for your guests than can be completed during the timeframe of the event, they can be completed later in the studio and mailed.

Please see below for details.

A minimum booking of 3 hours of live painting

Hourly Rate: $200.00

Approximately 5 Portraits can be completed an hour (5 couples = 10 guests)

This rate includes collecting reference photographs of guests, and complimentary 30 minute preparation before the event begins.

Please consider carefully how many couples you wish to have painted. If you wish to have more portraits created than can be completed during the timeframe of the event, the remaining portraits can be completed later in the studio. In studio portraits will be billed additionally at the same hourly rate. They make excellent thank you cards for guests!

Several Formats are available during the event:

● Open Format - Any guest may request a portrait on a first come first serve basis.

Portraits will be completed in the order they are received.

● Select List of Guests - The event host will prepare a list of guests to receive a

portrait (often comprising the wedding party and family). These portraits will be completed first, and remaining time can then be open format.

Regardless of desired format, a larger portrait of the wedding couple will be completed first and will be on display for the event.
